Jean and I came in contact quite by chance. We had both decided that a dating site wasn't working, and had cancelled our subscriptions. Then, quite by chance, we saw each other’s entries... we both had to renew our memberships so that we could talk! Anyway, once we contacted each other things really took off. We now have a wonderful relationship, and the future looks great. I admit it has been a bit of a whirlwind, but things couldn't be better. Thanks for everything.

One evening I was looking at the who's online page and saw a lovely looking woman, so I had a quick look at her profile and thought she sounded great. I summoned up courage and wrote her a message and crossed my fingers! She responded the same evening, and immediately we started a hilarious exchange of messages! A few days later we arranged our first date. We went for a meal then for a couple of glasses of wine and had a fabulous evening. We clicked. More dates and chats followed, and we decided that we ought to really give it a go!

Attached is a photo of us at Poole Quay having spent a wonderful day in the hot sunshine in Dorset. We first met at the beginning of June, and have been building and developing our relationship since then. He is planning something special for my birthday in August, and we've booked a weekend in the Brecon Beacons for October (forward thinking already you see lol!) I saw Elizabeth on the site and we began chatting to each other. After about 2 weeks of chatting via phone and email we decided to meet. Our first date was at The Aviator in Farnborough, a place we have revisited several times since. It was a very memorable first meet, we got on so well together and the chemistry between us was just great. We have been seeing each other regularly for 3 months now, and I enjoy every minute I spend with her. She is some woman! Many thanks to you guys for making it possible to meet her.

John had been on the site for only a few hours and it soon became apparent that we had a lot of things in common. We progressed from talking online to exchanging telephone numbers. Our first meet was a lovely walk along the Avon and Kennet Canal with his dog where we stopped halfway long for a lovely pub lunch watching the Narrow Boats going through the lock, and we met again later that week. We have spent many a weekend walking in the country or on the beach. We have just booked our first holiday together and we are planning another to the Dominican Republic. I didn't think that after losing my husband I would find anyone else so special, but I have, and I would never want to be without him now.

After much deliberation I decided to take the plunge and join a dating agency. I had been separated for some time and realised that time was passing me by. I joined the site and immediately began to get messages and winks from ladies in a similar position to me. I asked Linda for a date, to which she agreed. We talked and laughed non-stop for 3 hours and then I walked her to her car and had a little kiss goodnight. I felt like a teenager again and I knew then that there was something between us. When Stephen winked at me from 185 miles away I saw how fun he looked in his pictures and replied, we only exchanged a couple of emails before he gave me his phone number. We spoke on the phone daily and through the next few weeks arranged to meet for the first time. Well we had the best weekend of our lives, we were so comfortable and happy around each other. The only bad part of it was having to part ways! Now we've spent several weekends together, met kids, and have plans to spend half term and Christmas time together and he's even planned a surprise event in Scotland for my birthday next April :-)

We've been seeing each other for 3 months now through your dating site and it all started with Rachel ‘winking’ at me! We live 73 miles apart but we see each other up to twice a week. I joined the site and found someone within 2 weeks! Gary contacted me as he recognised me from 30 years ago and realised we used to go out in a foursome when we were in our 20s. He had changed considerably and I didn't recognise him, but when I realised who he was we chatted for a week then met up. We even went on holiday together within 2 months of getting together, we went to Majorca for a week and got on really well.

It was obvious early on we had lots in common, both being teachers, both having daughters of a similar age and both having the same great sense of humour. We were sending emails, messages, chatting and having phone calls for about 3 months. At some point it turned into a sort of friendship/relationship. I travel every weekend to Chichester to be with Ian, since I live in London and don't have any commitments. We spent the first couple of weeks just chatting online, then progressed to texting and then talking on the phone. Our first meet was at a model show, Wings and Wheels, at North Weald in Essex. We live over 100 miles apart and that is not a problem as we have spent nearly every weekend together, as Neil says “distance is only a measurement”! We have been lucky from the start, we both have the same sense of humour and the same outlook on life. We are both looking forward to a great future together.
